This important event will be streamed live on the 3KTV Facebook page, starting at exactly 2000hrs. According to the organizers of the ZAFTAS, the nominees are a product of a careful review process of an array of impressive submissions from across Zimbabwe.
Tonight’s event would have happened simultaneously with the project’s fundraising dinner which has been postponed to the 11th of November. Tickets for the dinner which promises attendees an evening of elegance and fruitful networking are still selling, with the cheapest ticket going for only $30 per individual.
To be held on the 2nd of December 2023 at Wisdom City Church auditorium on 55 Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Harare, the ZAFTAS are a spotlight exclusively shining on the incredible talent existing in the local film and television industry which, for years, has yearned for recognition as a stand-alone sector.
The theme for the pioneer edition of the Awards; “Leveraging Business Synergies for Global Impact”, seeks to make emphasis on the power of collaboration and the local industry’s potential to make a long lasting impression on the global stage.
“Be among the first to discover the extraordinary individuals who have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to Zimbabwean film and television”, said the organizers in a press release ahead of the nominee reveal night.
After nomination announcement, nominees have been encouraged to provide the ZAFTAS organising team with additional promotional material ahead of the big day.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talent and gain well-deserved recognition within the industry”, they said.
The organisers also expressed gratitude to partners whose efforts of collaboration and support have made the ZAFTAs dream possible; 3KTV, The Livestreaming Company, Marume and Furidzo Legal Practitioners, JAC Film School, TIME project, Hukama Events, Eastlife Entertainment among many others.
The Awards also have the significant backing of the Zimbabwe International Film Festival Trust (ZIFFT).
