We are thrilled to introduce Chimwemwe Chipidza, a talented multidisciplinary creative hailing from Harare, Zimbabwe. With a dynamic career that spans acting, writing, filmmaking, and photography, Chimwemwe has made significant contributions to the creative landscape.
Chimwemwe’s journey in the arts began at the young age of 13 when she first stepped into the spotlight in 2009. Her breakout role came in “The CookOff,” Zimbabwe’s pioneering Netflix film, where she showcased her exceptional talent and passion for storytelling.
An alumnus of the Multichoice Talent Factory, Chimwemwe has further honed her skills with a Certificate in TV and Media from the University of Zambia. Her commitment to her craft led her to the prestigious New York Film Academy, where she specialized in Documentary Storytelling.
Chimwemwe’s diverse experiences and unique perspective as a female filmmaker make her a valuable voice in our panel discussion on women’s representation in film and television. We are excited to hear her insights and learn from her journey as she shares her vision for shaping positive narratives in our industry.
