Nominees Finalized for Inaugural ZAFTA Event: Exciting Lineup Revealed for Zimbabwe Annual Film and Television Awards

The Zimbabwe Annual Film and Television Awards (ZAFTA) is pleased to announce that the final list of nominees for its inaugural awards ceremony has been confirmed. The competition was intense, with a higher number of submissions than anticipated, demonstrating the immense talent and creativity within the Zimbabwean film and television industry.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the judges who dedicated their time and expertise to carefully review and rate the submissions. Their invaluable contributions have played a pivotal role in ensuring the fairness and transparency of the selection process.

In our pursuit of inclusivity, we utilised the FilmFreeway online platform along with in-person delivery options for submissions, removing as many barriers as possible to encourage participation from all corners of the industry.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the nominees. Your exceptional contributions have significantly enriched the Zimbabwean film and television landscape.

The inaugural ZAFTAs ceremony will take place on the 2nd of December 2023 at the Wisdom City Church auditorium on 55 Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Harare. Tickets are limited and now available at ZAFTAs Office, Cubicle 13 Telone Shared Offices, First Floor Main Post Office Building, Harare (Use Nelson Mandela entrance) or call 0719127936 / 0776375819 for assistance.
